The journey to Holistic Empowered Living started when Michael was 21 years old when he graduated from Massage Therapy school in the Winter of 1999 in The Woodlands, TX. Since then, Michael has dedicated his time, his energy in learning, by gaining expertise in a vast array of methodologies (systems) and methods (techniques) from many branches of Western and Eastern Medicine to support people seeking to bring harmony and balance in their life. Michael now calls Golden, CO home here in the foothills of Colorado, providing his gifts to the Golden, Boulder, Denver Metropolitan and surrounding communities.
Michael takes an "eclectic" approach through massage therapy, manual therapy and coaching sessions with people of all ages and backgrounds for onsite, online virtual sessions for individuals and groups. The word "eclectic" has many definitions and one that resonates, is that it is a Way a person derives ideas, styles, or tastes from a broad range of sources. Michael has found anecdotally since 1999 through clinical and experiential practice, that there are many Ways to Source. We are all uniquely and wonderfully made individuals that are a microcosm (a Reflection) within a macrocosm (the Universe).
When Michael was 22 years old, he discovered for himself the power of Food Healing Nutrition when he cleared all allergies he had suffered with since childhood in a matter of months, and still to this day. Also, Michael in his early 30's started his journey practicing and then seeking to become a teacher of Tai Chi and Qigong. He came to understand the life changing benefits of incorporating these practices daily, along with becoming a practitioner of Vipassana Meditation.
Michael Fortier with thousands of hours of training and further thousands of hours of experience with precision and skill utilizes ancient wisdom traditions of Ayurvedic Medicine, Classical Chinese Medicine, Osteopathic Manual Therapy, and contemporary Western/Eastern Massage Therapies. This "eclectic" integration creates a unique bridge for people seeking harmony and balance whether it is for physical, emotional, mental and/or spiritual transformation.
